Giving back to the community through
The Safe Space™ Foundation

No one walks alone in their mental health journey.

Donate NowHow can I help?

Everyday, the underserved community is fighting with their mental health struggles.

1 youth in Singapore is lost to suicide everyday

The caregivers of persons with disabilities are going through 19% higher anxiety everyday

8 out of 30 single mothers are fighting with mood disorders while trying to keep the baby alive everyday

But due to high costs of treatment, long waiting time, and low professional-to-patient ratio, they are unable to receive proper help.

The Safe Space Foundation understands the struggle, and we aim to

Empower the underserved with the necessary resources to triumph over their mental health challenges and make a positive impact on their overall well-being.

How exactly do we support?

We provide 3 main core services

Individual & Family Counselling & Coaching Services

Therapy sessions for promoting mental and emotional health, guiding and nurturing change, and fostering relationships.

Mental Health Education

An online 1-hour psychoeducational session for specific groups or individuals on a certain mental health issue.

Community Support System

Building a sense of belonging and social connection for our clients ensures that they do not walk alone on their mental health journey.

Which underserved communities are we looking at?

Youths & Fresh Grads

  • Bullying: 1 in 4 students report being bullied, which significantly contributes to mental health problems such as depression and anxiety.

  • Screen Time Impact: Increased screen time use by youths, particularly more than 6 hours a day, is linked to higher levels of anxiety and depression among them.

Persons with Disabilities & Caregivers

  • Employment Challenges: Only 3 in 10 persons with disabilities are employed, contributing to higher rates of depression and anxiety.

  • Social Isolation: 67% of caregivers report feeling socially isolated due to caregiving responsibilities.

Women

  • Domestic Violence: 1 in 3 women in Singapore have experienced some form of domestic violence, which is closely linked to mental health disorders.

  • Workplace Discrimination: 44% of women report experiencing gender discrimination at work, which impacts their mental health and job satisfaction.
